Richard, a Fan by any other name…

No, nor do I do calm, “I want to be a pin-up”! Nor do I.

I Want to be a Pin Up

I’ve come across a few notes here and there that said “Hello, I’m a new well-wisher!”.

Firstly, you are very welcome to our little group of friends 🙂

Secondly, I wanted to focus on the phrase “well-wisher” for a bit.

Richard has always mentioned his unease at having “fans” and in his last Christmas message (which I really wasn’t expecting and which brightened up a particularly grim day), he referred to his admirers as “well-wishers”.

Far be it for me to tell Richard what to feel (Oh, I would sooooo love that though…), but I’m just not feeling it.

Let’s take a look:

The Oxford Dictionary defines a well-wisher as:

“a person who desires happiness or success for another, or who expresses such a desire:

Hick received plenty of advice from well-wishers”

OK, not bad…

I certainly wish nothing but the best for Richard, root for him and…

I have to laugh, truly. There is another Chrissy Lampard video from Thursday night! Yes, I know we said the last one was… well… the last one, but she has more!!!

We think  it would be a shame not to share this, just because we said there were no more, wouldn’t it? Criminal, in fact!

So, enjoy Chrissy’s latest, and thanks again to Chrissy Lampard, by far our favorite RA US Special RA Correspondent!!!

And, please: Chrissy has generously allowed us to share her content with the RA Universe, so we hope, when others share any of  her original images or when linking to any of the her other videos – all previously posted on this blog – that she will be appropriately credited.

Chrissy Lampard – Richard Armitage US Facebook member turned RA US Special RA Correspondent – attended the reading of Pinter’s version of Proust’s Remembrance of Things Past on Thursday, January 16 at the 92nd Street Y in Manhattan. She’s provided a great deal of content to the RA Universe, and now we are pleased to debut Chrissy’s final video: RA as “Swann in Red.”

Chrissy has generously allowed us to share her content with the RA Universe, so we hope, when others share any of  her original images or when linking to any of the her four videos – all previously posted on this blog – that she will be appropriately credited.

Just for fun, we’ve introduced this entry with an astonishingly beautiful screen capture from Fernanda Matias, taken from one of Chrissy’s previous videos. (Please credit both Fernanda and Chrissy for this image.)

Tonight in NYC: Pinter/Proust, Featuring RA Live On-Stage

RA Applaudes(Sung to the tune of “Tonight” from West Side Story… with sincerest apologies to Leonard Bernstein and *especially* lyricist Stephen Sondheim!)

Tonight, tonight,
RA’s on stage tonight
And all across the world hearts are light…

Tonight, tonight
He’ll be on stage tonight
And many will be there for the sight!

Today the minutes pass like hours
The hours go so slowly
While waiting for tonight.

But then, tonight,
He’ll step into that light
And he will shine toooooonniiiiiiiiiiiight!

That Height Thing…

Golden Hour Height Thing...

Golden Hour Height Thing…

It was most obvious in the Vicar of Dibley… the way Harry/RA had to practically bend himself in half to kiss Geraldine/Dawn… and it was endearing.

But his height – compared to his co-stars – has also been apparent in many other roles. He has several tried and true ways of minimalizing it: he slumps his shoulders a bit, or leans against a wall or piece of furniture and slouches, or even just sits down while others stand… a lot! So this new photo album begins to demonstrate RA’s height, and how he accommodates himself for his fellow cast members.
